Electrical Association of Manitoba

The EAM Electrical Association of Manitoba is a non-profit organization made up of electrical contractors, wholesalers, distributors, manufacturers, agents and consultants educational institutions. The EAM provides a variety of services, such as up-to-date industry information, representation to government, industry-leading educational and training programs to help member companies and their employees to stay current with industry requirements and trends, and great networking opportunities. The EAM has a newly formatted Lighting Trade Show held every 2 years. As well, the EAM now provides Manitoba Electrical Contractors with direct representation on the board of the CECA Canadian Electrical Contractors Association.

Workplace Electrical Safety – Arc Flash & Shock Training

The EAM is pleased to offer Arc Flash & Shock Training through its partnership with ESPS Electrical Safety Program Solutions INC. (ESPS).

ESPS provides electrical safety consulting services, licensed Electrical Safety Programs, and electrical safety training solutions. The Principal of ESPS, Terry Becker, P.Eng., CESCP, IEEE Senior Member, is the subject matter expert and visionary of the Electrical Safety Training System (ESTS) e-Learning training courses for Electrical Workers and Non-Electrical Workers. The benefits of using the ESTS for arc flash & shock training are: affordable and cost effective, adult oriented, train anytime and anywhere, track student progress, and consistent training for all workers.

Providing arc flash & shock training to workers reduces risk and demonstrates due dligence to OH&S Regulations for the employer and employee.

The ESTS is state of the art adult-oriented arc flash and shock training for Electrical Workers, Supervisors, Electrical Engineers, Instrumentation Mechanics, HVAC Technicians, HSE Professions and Non-Electrical Workers that need to manage or may be exposed to the electrical hazards of arc flash and shock.
